I didn’t always love math. Things only really clicked for me in high school, and that experience is why I care so much about helping other students see that math doesn’t have to be intimidating or mysterious. I finished AP Calculus BC in 10th grade with a score of 5, and was one of a few students (out of 300+ in Calculus) recognized by my school’s math department that year. Since then, I’ve taken Multivariable Calculus and Linear Algebra and worked hard to earn top grades, and I scored a 1580 SAT (790 Math, 790 Reading & Writing) on my first attempt before junior year.
I started tutoring in 10th grade, mostly one-on-one with classmates who needed extra support in math. I quickly realized how much I enjoyed figuring out how each person thought about a problem and then guiding them to the answer instead of just telling them what to do. Over time, I’ve expanded into SAT Reading & Writing as well, and I now have 50+ hours of online tutoring experience, including 58+ total tutoring hours, 60+ sessions hosted, and students from 15+ countries across various online platforms.
My approach is all about meeting students where they are and building confidence step by step. I like to break problems into manageable pieces, ask questions to check understanding, and work through examples together so the ideas actually stick instead of being memorized for one test. If you’re looking for support in math or SAT prep, and a tutor who’s patient, approachable, and genuinely excited when things finally click, I’d be happy to set up a lesson.
