I only started loving math when I got to find out everything clicked. I only started loving math when I got to find out everything clicked. But what’s been even more rewarding is helping others discover(like I did) that math doesn’t have to be intimidating or mysterious. I finished AP Calculus BC sophomore year with a 5 and was lucky enough to be one of the few students out of 300+ Calculus students recognized with our math department’s award that year. Since then, I’ve dived into even more advanced classes(Multivariable Calculus and Linear Algebra) and worked hard to earn the highest grades I could. I also achieved a 1580 SAT (790 Math, 790 R&W) on my first try before junior year. For me, seeing how the pieces fit together, both in math and in teaching, is genuinely exciting.
I started tutoring sophomore year, mostly working one-on-one with classmates who needed extra support. It was pretty clear early on how much I enjoyed figuring out how each person thought about the problem, and then trying to guide them rather than just giving the answers. Over time, I’ve expanded to helping with SAT R&W, and have 50+ hours of online tutoring experience.
My approach to tutoring is about meeting students where they are and building their confidence, step by step. I believe that working through a problem together makes the learning stick so far more than just passively hearing an explanation. Feel free to contact me to schedule a lesson!
