Hi, I’m Sruti! I graduated magna cum laude with an MS in Applied Biostatistics and cum laude with a BS in Applied Mathematics, along with a certificate in Social Science Research Methods. My passion lies in applying mathematics and statistics to real-world problems, and I love helping others unlock the power of these subjects.

From my own experiences as a student, I’ve learned that success often depends on having teachers or tutors who meet students where they are. I bring this mindset to every tutoring session, ensuring that I adapt to each student’s needs. As an undergraduate teaching assistant, I developed a teaching style that balances clear explanations with plenty of practice problems to reinforce learning—a technique I’ve found invaluable for mastering math.

I bring several years of teaching and tutoring experience. I tutored middle school students with Algebra 1 where my responsibilities included grading assignments and tutoring groups of 5-7 students after school to address their questions. I have 2 years of university-level experience in the classroom as an instructional assistant and grader for College Math, College Algebra, Precalculus, Calculus 1, and Calculus 2. For these courses I supported the performance of 20-25 students at a time with instruction, grading, ensuring conceptual understanding, and tracking their progress toward learning goals. Additionally, I have 1 year of experience as a teaching assistant for Biostatistics for healthcare students where I assisted in creating course materials such as exam questions and extra credit assignments in addition to tutoring and grading assignments.

My favorite part of teaching is seeing students reach their “aha” moments; it’s incredibly rewarding to be a part of their learning journey.
