Since my sophomore year of high school, I’ve dedicated around four years to tutoring math, accumulating over 400 hours of experience. I’ve assisted students in grades 5th, 6th, 7th, 10th, and 11th, focusing on 5th and 6th Grade Math, Pre-Algebra, and Algebra 1 and 2. As the STEM tutor for an SRBI class, I provided extra help in Algebra and Geometry. Personally, I’ve taken honors math, AP Calculus, AP Statistics, and completed online Precalculus with Brigham Young University. Being part of the Math Honors Society, I participated in team and individual math competitions (NEMLs).

In my tutoring, I emphasize having the student and me work together as a team when starting to tackle problems. This collaborative approach not only fosters a comfortable environment for questions and learning from mistakes but also significantly boosts the student's confidence. By understanding the reasoning behind each step, students gradually gain the skills to successfully and independently tackle problems. This method creates a solid foundation, enabling them to approach future challenges with a more assured and self-reliant mindset.
