Hi there! I'm Apoorva, an alum of Northeastern University. In December 2024, I earned my Bachelor's of Science in Cell and Molecular Biology and Minor in Data Science, summa cum laude with a 4.0 GPA. During my time at Northeastern, I tutored my peers in Organic Chemistry and Biology, as well as formally taught subjects such as Computer Science, Genetics, Molecular Biology, and Biostatistics as a Teaching Assistant.
Currently, I am working as a researcher at Dana Farber Cancer Institute before starting my PhD in Biomedical Life Sciences at Columbia University's Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons this fall.
My goal for my students is to foster a love for discovery. Learning a subject and passing a class can be done with relative ease, but I think the true value is when you enjoy what you are learning to an extent that it excites you to learn more! In a world with AI, it is easy for students to coast through classwork on external resources alone, but science is about so much more! I hope to bring a unique, personal touch to my students' education, inspiring them to stay curious. If this sounds like something you or your student would benefit from, please reach out! Excited to meet you!
