I hold a BSc in Applied Mathematics and a PhD in Computer Science. I have experience as a teaching assistant during my PhD and have recently taught AI at FIU in Miami. Over the last decade, I have been a tutor, and I am well-versed in the curriculum of both Computer Science and Mathematics.

I am confident in my ability to tutor any Computer Science and Mathematics class, as I aim to help students grasp the fundamentals of each subject. I utilize a combination of mathematics and computer programming with real-life examples to provide a thorough understanding of the topics covered.

As a former student of both Mathematics and Computer Science, I have always been fascinated by how scientists find elegant and sometimes straightforward solutions to complex problems. To me, it's crucial for students not only to understand the solution but also the reasoning behind it. This enables them to recognize similar problems and develop problem-solving techniques for future use. Therefore, I like to begin by establishing a clear understanding of the problem at hand - what do we know and what is unknown. I motivate the problem by demonstrating its real-life applications and keeping the big picture in mind. Then, I encourage students to make connections between the data and the unknown and see if they can apply a previously solved problem to the current issue. I find joy in making connections with previous solutions and building upon them.

When teaching a challenging concept, I believe it's essential to not only explain the concept itself but also something that is similar to it - a near miss. By surrounding the concept with a near miss, it helps to clearly define its boundaries and provides a focused approach to the problem we are trying to solve.
