No matter the course material, I have always found that having a someone who can walk through the intuition and work through a problem step by step is the best way to eventually fully understand the material.
My work experience has been broad and has allowed me to continue to reinforce much of my work in my undergraduate. I have worked as a research analyst for both a venture capital and and micro hedge fund. I have advised a handful of different startups and have worked as a business analyst in a both large and small companies. My current work is as a Data Scientist where I am able to utilize many of my skills I have learned and am more than happy to also talk about career growth and how to find your path within the fields of business, finance/economics, and/or big data.
During my undergraduate I have always been interested in modeling our world. I have taken Calculus, Linear Algebra, and Statistics while scoring all in high marks. Because of my research Geometric Computer vision, it is also needed for me to understand much of Graph Theory, Discrete Maths, and even some Multivariate Calculus. I will only be teaching in the courses that I feel most proficient in to the point where I can teach them clearly and enjoyably for the student. Statistics and Calculus are sometimes painful, but if made more human can be really intuitive and even fun to those who like asking big questions about the world. Regardless, I love making making mathematics intuitive, because I know for the longest time that was not always the case for me as well.
