Bio

I am a dedicated Artist and Craftsman whose thirst for knowledge did not dissipate upon completion of my college degrees. Through life experiences and a solid educational background, I feel it is my time to give back to the community at large and inspire its students to live and learn in a creative and passionate way. Every student has a fundamental, creative vision of the way they want to live their lives and it is up to Educators to foster individual growth and allow them the opportunities...

I am a dedicated Artist and Craftsman whose thirst for knowledge did not dissipate upon completion of my college degrees. Through life experiences and a solid educational background, I feel it is my time to give back to the community at large and inspire its students to live and learn in a creative and passionate way. Every student has a fundamental, creative vision of the way they want to live their lives and it is up to Educators to foster individual growth and allow them the opportunities to achieve every dream they may have.

I hold a Master of Fine Arts degree with a concentration in Sculpture and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a concentration in Printmaking. My experience is not limited to these two mediums though. I am proficient with most artistic processes and feel comfortable utilizing any given medium. While earning my MFA, I learned a valuable lesson that an Artist is not limited to their chosen medium. As Artists, we have a responsibility to the Art we create to use whatever material or process that seems appropriate to the idea. At no point is Art confined or limited.

I've taught students in areas such as Screenprinting, Photography, Woodcraft, Cartooning, and Portfolio Development. I have worked as a Cabinetmaker and Printmaker and maintained several work shops in a safe and secure manner. My experience is limitless and what we know and do not know we will learn together. In the world of Art there is a proper methodology and dialogue that occurs. It is necessary to learn these principles to assure proper knowledge is applied. Projects may be assigned that will apply a multidisciplinary approach to Fine Art. Cross training is a proper tool in the Artist's toolbox.
