Hi, I’m Chelsea! I’m a professional writer, editor and SAT/College Essay coach; I have also enjoyed tutoring for more than 20 years. I graduated magna cum laude from Boston University and have been employed by Harvard Medical School for the past 11 years. My work has appeared in dozens of publications, including The Boston Globe and The Boston Herald.
My interest in teaching and tutoring began after college when I moved to Osaka, Japan, where I relished in my role an ESL teacher at an English Language school. My students were both adults and children and I loved all classes equally! When I arrived back in the U.S. I continued tutoring ESL and eventually branched out into helping students hone their English skills and craft the perfect college essays.
I have had extensive work proofreading and editing documents to bring them to perfection in terms of grammar and sentence structure. My lessons are always engaging and, yes, fun! I believe learning at any age can be an exciting adventure – one just needs the right teacher.
I love math and science as well; I am also a Shakespeare enthusiast/expert and love to tutor/talk Shakespeare for hours on end. I get a thrill from helping students incorporate Shakespeare and his themes into any essay. If you want to chat about The Bard, I’m here for it.
I am an extremely patient person and love helping others further their studies and reach their full academic potential. I can’t wait to meet you!
