I have been teaching high school and middle school math courses for almost 30 years. I have spent the last 14 years at a local high school as dept coordinator and teacher and taught during weekends and summers at a school for Asian students in Boston.

Our daughter has been working with Amy since the school year began, and we can't say enough good things about her. First of all, our daughter has earned A's on her report card for the first two quarters of the year. This has given her more confidence in her ability to understand and "keep up" with her class material. Amy does a great job of breaking problems down into small steps, is extremely patient and keeps the whole process positive. From my perspective, Amy is reliable, flexible with scheduling and a devoted teacher - you can tell she enjoys what she does! We are also going to have her work with our daughter to prepare for the SAT exams next year and it gives us peace of mind to know our daughter will be much more prepared after working with her, than she would be otherwise. Amy is the best tutor we have ever had the pleasure of working with.

Could Not Think of a Better Tutor for Math SAT
My daughter enjoys working with Amy. She is able to explain math concepts that my daughter can quickly understand. An hour session with Amy is like two days of a Kaplan course.

Wonderful tutor
Amy has been coming to our house for the past 6 weeks helping our son get ready for the SAT's. She has been instrumental in his learning and we are so happy that we chose her as his tutor. She is extremely knowledgeable, patient and fun. I would highly recommend her to anyone. She is great!

Probably a good tutor, not reliable though
Amy responded right away to my initial request, and we set a date to start. On the day she was unable to come, and gave us only a couple hours notice. Two weeks passed before we heard from her again, and she wanted to come in an hour and a half which doesn't work with a family like ours. We instead set an appt for two days later. Amy didn't show up, didn't call, no word until I contacted her. The following week we booked 2 appointments and both went fine. On the third week, Amy failed to show up again and without notice. It is difficult in a busy family when arrangements are made that affect the whole gang and then someone doesn't hold up their end. I am sorry to leave this review because I think Amy is probably a good tutor, but I don't want other families to be inconvenienced like we were.

Patient and Understanding
Amy did a wonderful job with helping my daughter understand the different ways and tools to help solve problems for her precalculus class. When Amy left my daughter couldn't stop smiling and looked like a large weight had been lifted from her shoulders. We will definitely be contacting Amy when we need help again! Thank you Amy!

Great Tutor!
My son was struggling with 9th grade Algebra 1. He started the first term with a solid B, which very rapidly declined into the low C category. He was staying after school for extra help from his teacher, but still not being able to pull decent quiz and test grades. I found out about WyzAnt and researched Amy. She picked up right away on the issues he's been struggling with. Her manner is very positive and encouraging and finally my son is feeling confident again. She tutored him two times before a test, and he was able to pull of a 93! He was thrilled and said "Mom, this is the first "A" I've every had on any test in this class". Needless to say his outlook on math has greatly improved, he now feels like he is able to grasp the subject matter, especially with Amy's tutoring. He felt like she really slowed the pace and made the information comprehensible for him. She's fantastic and has already made a significant difference, and it's only been two sessions! I couldn't be happier with the decision to contact her for support.
