Excellent Tutor Who Really Helps!

Rebecca M. both knows her subject matter and conveys it well! She's very patient and was helpful in answering all of my daughter's questions (and she had many, many questions). I recommend Rebecca M. without hesitation!

Knowledgeable and patient

Listened to what we needed and went over practice problems right before the test as well as taught my son the material thoroughly and in a timely manner. Would definitely book her again!

Knowledgeable and patient tutor

We reviewed stoichiometry and bonding very well. I was able to grasp a very strong concept of the topics. I enjoyed the classes a lot and look forward to the next one.

Rebecca teaches me AP Chem and her grasp of the subject is very strong. She is very kind and works with my crazy schedule. She makes sure I understand a topic before she moves on.

Helpful and patient!

Rebecca was organized and helped me pinpoint the areas I needed help in. Once we figured out where I needed help, she reviewed the topics in depth and gave me problems to practice with.

Very knowledgeable, patient and flexible tutor

In one 2-hour tutoring session, Rebecca saved my daughter's chemistry cumulative exam grade. She quickly assessed where my daughter had knowledge/understanding gaps, reviewed the necessary topics, worked through examples, and related the concepts to their application. We feel very fortunate that we were able to find Rebecca and that she had availability on short notice.

Fantastic tutor!

Becky really knows her stuff and was able to explain things in an easy to understand way. She was great at building my daughter's confidence around Honors Chemistry and helped her earn an A- in the class. She's also just a genuinely nice person!

Most responsible, knowledgeable, positive and patient AP Chem Tutor ever

Rebecca was everything I could have ever asked for in an AP Chemistry Tutor and more. When I reached out to her, I had been working with another tutor for almost 6 months already, but my grades and general understanding of the subject almost hadn't changed. I felt lost, confused, frustrated, and felt that my tutor had never taken the time to understand what I was struggling with. As the AP exam drew nearer and my grades continued to flop, my parents and I decided it was time for a change. When my dad first found Rebecca on WyzAnt, he reached out to her and found that she was busy with many students. (Unsurprisingly.) However, she found time , and reached out to me with a practice SAT subject test. From our first meeting I could tell that she knew the subject so deeply and so thoroughly, that we were able to run through the diagnostic test in an hour. She made me feel good about the information that I did know, and listened to me explain where I felt confused. After just one session, she was able to conclude from our conversation what goals I could set for myself on the SAT and the AP, as well as an outline of what topics we should focus our work on. From the depths of my confusion and frustration, one hour with Rebecca gave me hope that my future in AP Chem wasn't completely hopeless! I was so thankful when she agreed to take me as a student. Within just a few weeks, Rebecca was able to completely turn my attitude around. She was super easy to schedule meetings with, and even though she lived far away from me she was willing to give up her time and spend her energy to see me, sometimes late at night or at times that would require her to tutor for hours on end. She always had a positive attitude and a smile, and her faith in my abilities gave me faith in myself. Knowing that I had meetings with her gave me motivation and drive to study and do practice tests that I wouldn't have been able to find otherwise. She was also always prepared, with endless amounts of practice tests and problems to do. Every session we tackled a new concept together, and rather than relying on a textbook, Rebecca simply explained it to me from scratch. More than knowing the subject, Rebecca also knew the test well, and was able to answer just about any format or content questions that I had. I could write a novel about how incredible she is and how thankful I am to have been her student, but all in all Rebecca is just so passionate and such an intelligent, knowledgeable person that she could teach anything to anyone. Like I said, I couldn't have possibly asked for more out of her as my AP Chemistry Tutor, and I give my highest recommendations to her.

We are very impressed with Rebecca in every way.

My daughter very much enjoys working with Rebecca. She's teaching the material so my daughter is truly "getting it." We feel confident that Rebecca's tutoring will make a major difference when my daughter takes the SAT subject test in Chem.
