I am an experienced and highly qualified English teacher who has almost 20 years teaching literature and writing chiefly at the secondary and post secondary level; however, I do have experience with elementary school children as well. My teaching experience has been in a variety of settings and has included myriad types of students. I have taught in rural, urban, and suburban schools as well as post-secondary schools. I have taught AP 11 and remedial writing. This experience means I can be flexible and articulate with each student. Much of my experience has involved teaching writing, included but not limited to test preparation, but literature and reading skills are also a strength.
As a teacher and as a parent, I am empathetic and my goal is to meet each child where he or she is. We all can always improve.
