Hi my name is Heather and I have a B.S. In Cell and Molecular Biology and a PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology. I have held several teaching assistant positions with students ranging from as young as 5 years old to adults and have worked both one-on-one with students and in classroom settings. I have built classroom models that work as well as individual models to help students succeed. I want to help students reach academic success. I hope that I can have the opportunity to help you reach your goals!
Once I start tutoring I determine your student's strengths and weaknesses. Then I want to determine their preferred mode of learning: auditory or visual. Then we can work on the coursework. As a biology major in a university I have had experience teaching biology laboratory classes as well work towards my academic goals as a student. Additionally, I have strong writing and reading comprehension skills. I have worked and edited for several publications and have extensive experience in writing and proofreading. I will make it my goal to improve your student's reading and writing level. I can also help edit and give constructive feedback on essays. I look forward to helping you!
