I am a creative and energetic recent graduate with a degree in childhood studies. I graduated in 2012 and I spent my time after graduating working as a long term substitute for teachers on medical leave and working at an after school program. These experiences gave me the opportunity to try out many different teaching styles and helped me find what works for me. When I am working one on one with a student I like to figure out what their interests are and use them to help the student learn. I like to make learning fun and engaging, not mandatory work. If a student is very active we will find a way o make a physical game out of learning. If they love cats, I will find reading material based on this interest or find a way to use it in a math game. My first meeting with a student would be mostly geared towards getting to know the student as a persona and getting a feel for where they are at with the skills we are going to work on. If you are interested in a tutor like me please contact me.
