I got my start tutoring at the middle school level, running an after-school program where I taught app development using Scratch — a great way to build programming logic without the intimidation factor of "real" code. Since then I've worked with students one-on-one and in small groups (around 4 students), adjusting my approach to whatever works best for each learner.
My goal isn't just getting through the material — it's helping students actually feel capable. Whether someone needs to shore up the basics or is ready to push into AP-level work, I like connecting the "why" behind the math or code to something real, so it clicks instead of just being memorized. I want my students to leave a session more confident than when they walked in — and comfortable asking questions along the way.
