Hi, my name is Ben. I am a Hungarian-Romanian musician who spent their whole life studying, traveling, performing, and making music. My background in piano includes 20+ years in studies including a BA in piano performance at UMASS Amherst, 2 solo performances at Carnegie hall in NY and one at Royal Albert Hall in London, as well as multiple prizes from various international competitions. After my degree I spent a year studying music education at the Kodaly Institute of the List Academy in Kesckemet, Hungary. And for the last few years I have been refining my own hybrid "Symphonic Trance" compositional style and forming it into a professional career in filmscore and video game soundtrack design.

Throughout this time I also enjoyed many years of doing community theater, voice, choir, and band. My goal be as well rounded in music as possible so to get the full positive experience that music brings to the heart, mind, and soul.

General Music

BA in piano performance from University of Massachusetts Amherst: General curriculum included music theory, ear training, music history, ensemble, final projects and performances. During my time I also passed two graduate music history courses. I competed in various local and international competitions, once I was sponsored by a Yamaha dealership in CA for one of Yamaha's competitions. I didn't win that one but others I did better in resulting in my performances at Carnegie Hall and Royal Albert Hall. Certificate of Studies as Kodaly Institute for Music Education: The curriculum included learning using folk music through various teaching techniques, as well as how to write, and properly perform a lesson. Lesson topics were very thought out based on student's mental age and musical training. After learning about this technique I was inspired to incorporate it into my lesson plans.
