My name is Emily, and I'm currently finishing up my Master's degree in Biomedical Sciences at Tufts in Boston. I have been on the receiving end of tutoring many times before, and I am eager to put all my experience to use and help you out with MCAT prep. I also had an MCAT tutor myself, and I am looking forward to implementing some of the more helpful tactics that I learned along the way.
The MCAT is scary, but it is manageable, and I fully believe that anyone can score well on it if they prepare correctly. Together we will work through timing and question answering strategies, reading comprehension, and general MCAT prep. I received MCAT tutoring only a year ago, and I remember what worked and what didn't. Tutors are important because they hold you accountable, and I expect my students to put 110% into our sessions--I know I will. I love talking about the MCAT and making the craziness of it all seem a little more manageable.
I took the MCAT in May 2018 and received a 516. I scored a 130 (98th percentile) in the CARS section and a 130 (95th percentile) in the Psychological, Social, and Biological Foundations of Behavior (Psych/soc) section.
Do not hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions! I know this is a really scary time, and the MCAT may seem insurmountable, but you are not alone. I am here to help!
