Hi, I'm Jia, I graduated from Boston University with a master degree in violin Performance. I am involved with many orchestra events during my master degree such as performing in Tsai Performance Center and Boston Symphony Hall. In 2013, I received the Asian Youth Orchestra Scholarship, and having tour performance over Asia. My sincere and passionate love for music, especially violin, has prompted me to share my talents and inspire others to reach their full musical potential. I consider myself to be quite fortunate in having had the opportunities to encourage young students.
I started teaching private lessons since I was in high school, and developed personal studio which including ages from 5 up to 35. I have extensive practical experience in helping young students develop their foundational piano skills, music styles as well as creative endeavors, which have been a primary focus of my pedagogic activities. I feel that I have developed some positive strategies for creating a fun learning environment for young students, while organizing my classes to best accommodate the needs of each student.
My primary goal is to help young students develop a love and deep appreciation for music, which is accomplished through patience, instruction, encouragement and developing incremental levels for each student’s progress. I also consider myself to be excellent in teamwork projects, as I am always willing to learn from others and am very cooperative in any form of group dynamic. Furthermore, I have experience in organizing and providing guidance for as many as fifteen students. As all students are different, I try my best to use different protocols of instruction, so as to encourage students to reach their full potential.
