I have a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Politics, as well as a law degree. So I know a great deal about civics and government. I am well versed in American, British and Canadian politics. I am proficient with both political theory and international relations. While obtaining my degrees I did a significant amount of writing. That allows me to not only assist in explaining the course material to students but also to assist them in writing papers. Much of my tutoring consists of verbal explanations but also drawing diagrams. Furthermore, I will use a lot of examples to help the students better understand the material. I may show students a paper I wrote as an example of what is in a good political science paper.
Additionally, I taught English as a Second Language in Japan and then here in the United States recently. I have taught students at the absolute beginning level all the way through to the highly advanced. In my lessons I use simple language, examples and drawings to help students better understand English. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have both a Bachelor's and a Master's Degree in Politics. Plus, I have a law degree, which will allow me to provide insight for tutoring in American politics, as well as any legal studies classes. My expertise from my degrees include American politics, British and Canadian politics, Political Science Research Methods, Election Campaigning, and International Relations. I look forward to helping you with your academic work.
I have passed the Government and Politics test. My Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Political Science make me well suited to tutor in this subject. These degrees cover areas such as political theory, international relations, the political systems of nations besides the United States, and statistical-including poll-analysis. I, therefore, have a comprehensive understanding of politics -with a scientific perspective to it- that extends beyond mere facts about United States government and politics.
