I have five years experience teaching Chinese. I am currently studying in the TESOL program at BU School of Education.
At BU, I took linguistic related courses in 2012 Fall semester and education related courses in 2013 Spring and Fall semester.
Before my enrollment at BU, I had been a senior SAT/GRE instructor at China New Oriental Education Technology Cooperation. I gave lectures on the SAT/GRE Critical Reading Section, sentence completion and vocabulary preparation. I also wrote a vocabulary booklet for students. The book was published within the company.
My classes were very popular among students. I was rewarded bonuses by my company several times (more than five) for my students’ getting high score (above 2200) on the SAT Test.
I think I am able to instruct students of all levels. first, I have rich experience in guiding high school students on the SAT, both in respects of knowledge and test techniques. Second, as a graduate student in an Education Program, I am fully equipped with teaching methods. I am professional at interacting with students.
I am also a bilingual educator. I taught the whole year of 2009 in Chinese to students from 21 countries in my university’s international student center. And in 2011, I became a volunteer Chinese instructor at Princeton in Beijing, the renowned Chinese program in Beijing Normal University.
