I served as teaching assistant for fourteen semesters of various undergraduate courses (12x Boston University, 2x Harvard University, 2018-2026) including Behavioral Neuroscience, Cognitive Neuroscience, and Experimental Design and Statistics courses (ages 18-22, classroom setting).
I have some one-on-one and small-group math/neuroscience teaching experience (High school level: Courses Assistant for Mathematical Modeling in Biology, Michigan Math & Science Scholars program; College level: Calculus: I-IV tutor at UM Science Learning Center; Volunteer for Wolverine Pathways program; Computational Neuroscience Project TA at Neuromatch Academy).
Overall, my teaching philosophy is that getting students invested and excited in learning is a precursor to effective learning. My priority is in promoting a safe and engaging learning environment where the students can explore their natural curiosity while maintaining enough structure to make consistent progress on coursework. I want to provide students with the tools to succeed, while reminding them that failure is a necessary condition of learning & the scientific method.
