I have been teaching in the public school system at the secondary level since 2005 and am currently a full time high school history teacher. I taught or currently am teaching World History I, World History II, Advanced Placement US History I, Honors US History I, US History I, and Advanced Placement European History. I have served as an academic tutor in all core subjects for the public school district that I am currently employed in. I believe in personalized instruction that is differentiated based on the individual needs of the student. In my opinion, students benefit from a multitude of approaches that appeal to their individual learning styles. I am accustomed to creating modified assignments and developing both formative and summative assessments to ensure success. I have experience working with students that are on IEPs and 504 plans that range from grades 8 through 12.
