Hello! My name is Cy and I'm an English teacher from Massachusetts. I've been working as a certified English (ESL) teacher for the last 12 years and during this time I've taught people from all over the world. I have worked with people of all ages and levels of English. Not only do I teach grammar and vocabulary; I've helped prepare clients for English certificates and entrance exams (Cambridge, IELTS, Maturita - Slovak/Czech graduation exam), study for tests, get ready for job interviews and most of all improve their confidence while speaking English.
I have a bachelor's degree in communication which has helped me connect with people from different countries and backgrounds. Until recently I lived abroad in Sweden and Slovakia where I worked at language school and then started my own business as a private teacher. This time as a private teacher has helped me understand that everyone learns in different ways. Therefore I always listen to what my clients want and adapt to how they prefer to learn. During the lessons, I try to focus on speaking as much as possible. I provide many fun but helpful activities that are designed to keep clients motivated but not overwhelmed. This approach has made me very successful and many clients have continued learning with me for many years. I love my job and it's very rewarding to help others in any way I can.
