I earned a perfect 36 on the ACT, which gave me firsthand experience with both the content and the strategy needed to reach the highest score range. I am an incoming Economics student at New York University, and my academic background includes advanced coursework in AP U.S. History, AP Government, AP Calculus AB, AP Statistics, AP Biology, AP Environmental Science, AP English Literature, AP Psychology, AP Spanish, Macroeconomics, and Microeconomics. I have also earned multiple elite AP scores, including 5s in AP U.S. History and AP Environmental Science, and 4s in AP Statistics and AP Biology.
My teaching experience comes primarily from nationally competitive debate coaching and academic mentoring. I coached high school students in Lincoln-Douglas and Public Forum debate for multiple years, working with students in both group settings and individualized practice sessions. In that role, I helped students improve their argument structure, reading comprehension, timing, writing clarity, and performance under pressure. Several students I coached went on to win major national debate tournaments.
As an ACT tutor, my approach is diagnostic and strategy-focused. I identify the exact patterns behind a student’s missed questions, timing problems, and section-specific weaknesses. For English and Reading, I focus on grammar rules, passage strategy, evidence-based answer selection, and pacing. For Math and Science, I emphasize efficient problem recognition, data interpretation, and avoiding common traps. My goal is to help students build a repeatable system for improving their score, especially students aiming for competitive score ranges.
