I am a freshman at Indiana University's Kelley School of Business and Hutton Honors College, pursuing a triple major in Finance, Mathematics, and Economics & Quantitative Methods with a minor in Statistics. I maintain a 3.97 GPA and was admitted through Kelley's selective direct admit program. I scored a 1520 on the SAT and use advanced math daily in my college statistics, calculus, and analysis coursework.
My tutoring approach focuses on helping students build genuine understanding rather than memorizing procedures. Over the past five years I have taught vocal music to more than two hundred students, which has shaped how I break complex skills into manageable steps. I have also informally taught chess, math, and SAT prep to friends and family, where I have found that most score improvements come from identifying recurring question types, learning the fastest method for each, and drilling pacing under realistic conditions. For subject math, like algebra, geometry, precalculus, and calculus, I make sure students can explain why a method works before applying it. I am patient, ask questions to find where a student is actually stuck, and do not move on until they have mastery.
I work with high school students preparing for the SAT, middle and high school students in their math curriculum, and college students taking introductory finance, statistics, or economics. I tutor in person and over Zoom, and am happy to do a brief intro call before any first session to make sure I am the right fit.
