I am a sophomore at Providence College studying music education. My instrument concentration is jazz guitar, and aside from guitar, I also play electric bass, trombone, and some piano. I am a sophomore at Providence College studying music education. My instrument concentration is jazz guitar, and aside from guitar, I also play electric bass, trombone, and some piano. I participate in several ensembles at Providence including the Symphonic Winds Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble, and Pep Band. Some of my musical experience includes performing alone for recitals and juries, performing in various concert settings and brunches, athletic games on and off campus, and performing with different guest clinicians. Aside from the curriculum of the music department, I play guitar in a student-run liturgical choir on campus specializing in contemporary Catholic worship music. While on school breaks in the winter and summer times, I participate in the Abington Community Band playing trombone for an annual summer and holiday concert in their respective seasons. From a very young age, music was a strong passion of mine.
I do possess experience in working with children through having worked as a substitute teacher and paraprofessional in the Abington Public School system, teaching beginner private guitar lessons, teaching religious education in high school, and lifeguarding at a local pool geared towards families and the coinciding day camp.
I study jazz guitar with Boston Conservatory graduate, David Riley. Aside from guitar, I also play electric bass, trombone, and some piano. Aside from school ensembles and small combos, I have performed with different guest clinicians such as Angel Subero and Latin Logic, and Jon Batiste (band leader for the Late Show with Stephen Colbert). In high school, I participated in concert and marching band, and have played several select high school festivals such as the 2014 Junior MMEA District Festival Jazz Band (guitar), 2017 Senior SEMSBA Festival Jazz Band (guitar), 2017 Massachusetts Lions All-State Band (trombone in wind ensemble, guitar in jazz ensemble), and the 2018 Bridgewater State University High School Festival Band (trombone).
