I am a Nurse Practitioner with a strong clinical background in urgent care, orthopedics, critical care, and cardiovascular recovery, and I currently work as a nursing clinical instructor. I hold advanced nursing degrees and have extensive experience applying complex medical concepts in real-world patient care. Throughout my career, I have consistently been relied on to teach, mentor, and guide nursing students and new nurses in understanding pathophysiology, clinical decision-making, and safe prioritization of care. My strength lies in breaking down overwhelming material into clear, logical steps that students can actually apply in exams and clinical settings.
My teaching and tutoring experience includes working with nursing students from fundamentals through senior-level med-surg, both in clinical settings and one-on-one instruction. As a clinical instructor, I regularly teach students how to assess patients, recognize what is abnormal versus urgent, and determine appropriate nursing interventions. I have also created structured educational content for nursing students, including coursework focused on critical thinking, prioritization, and interpretation of clinical data. Much of my teaching occurs in individualized or small-group formats, allowing me to adapt explanations to each student’s learning style.
When tutoring, I focus on helping students learn how to think like a nurse rather than memorize facts. I emphasize prioritization, clinical judgment, and test-taking strategies, especially for NCLEX-style questions and med-surg scenarios. Students I work with often struggle not because they lack knowledge, but because they are unsure what matters most in a given situation. My approach helps them gain confidence, improve performance on exams, and feel more prepared for real patient care.
