Hi! My name is Ava. I am a certified Elementary and Special Education teacher in Louisiana! I recently graduated with an Honors Diploma at Southeastern Louisiana University. I have been awarded the Honors Diploma for my completion of my senior thesis, titled “Nurturing the Diverse Needs of Twice Exceptional Students”. I take pride in my thesis as it highlights my passion for diverse learners and differentiated instruction! I am a former president of SELU’s Student Council for Exceptional Children, where I worked to connect and educate my community on the needs and qualities of exceptional students.
I have one year of experience in a 4th grade inclusion classroom where I completed my teaching residency in the subjects of English and Math. I am open to tutoring any content area for grades 1-5. My goal as a tutor is to help the student feel confident in their learning and feel supported throughout the process. I am only available for virtual sessions. Prior to first session, I would love to get to know your student and understand their strengths and refinements as well as their learning preferences!
