Hello there! My name is Brittany. I am a current high school biology instructor who also serves as head of my school’s science department. I have been an educator for over 12 years now, specializing in Biology for the entire length of my teaching career. I have also taught Chemistry in those 12 years, as well.
I graduated from Louisiana State University in 2012, earning my bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. Attending the college of education at LSU, I was able to obtain my teaching certificate, which I have now maintained for 12 years. I have also received my mentor teaching certification through Nicholls State University.
In my teaching career, I have taught a large diversity of students across the high school grade levels. I have also taught both regular placement courses, as well as advanced placement courses. Many of my classes are large (30+ students), so I am well adapted to differentiating instruction for a large array of learners. In my years as a teacher I have also provided one-on-one tutoring to many students. I have a proven track record of high scoring students on state standardized tests, as well as the science portion of the ACT. I would be delighted to help other learners on their path to success!
