I have a bachelor of arts of degree in Community Studies from the University of Alabama. My concentration was in social sciences and psychology dealing with adolescent development. I am pursuing a master's of social work degree and will graduate in May of 2021. I have been an ESL teacher for the past year and have taught exclusively online. My students are primarily located in China, but some also live in Japan. Over the past year I have taught 558 students. My students are primarily elementary and middle school students.
I also worked with children ages 5-12 years old as a substitute teacher for five years. I have obtained a TESOL-VIPKid Foundational Training for Teaching English Online certification. I am also a mother of two sons. I am excited about working with your children and getting to know them as they learn English and pursue tutoring for other subjects as well. I will take great care of them while we have fun. I can't wait to see them in my classroom!
I have taught over 1,440 classes to students in an online environment. I believe in the quality of education that can be delivered to students in unique ways. This is especially true during the difficult times we all face during a global pandemic. Working as an ESL teacher has allowed me to understand the unique ways students learn and adapt. I have served as my church's youth group director for the past two years. I am able to tutor Bible Studies as well.
