Hello my name is Marlon. I am a college graduate of Liberty University with a BS in Biblical Studies and Theology. I hold a Master of Divinity with a concentration in biblical languages from Houston Baptist University. I managed to accrue 15 years of Pastoral ministry experience during my academic journey. When choosing a tutor it is a good practice to partner with one who loves to engage the student with the lesson. As a tutor, my approach is fun, exciting, and inspirational. I use material that is easy to follow and works well with any grammar textbook. The student will leave with confidence and a motivation to learn more.

I have been a tutor since 2004 as an undergraduate college student. I am available 24/7 via email to answer any questions and offer help and assistance where needed. Furthermore, I am currently teaching beginning Greek to a group of 50 seminary freshman in a classroom setting.

I want to benefit the students I work for and with as much as possible. My desire is to get you A's and B's on your assignments, quizzes, and exams. Therefore, I ask students to let me know where they struggled on tests so I can orchestrate additional helps. I provide fast and efficient responses. Feel free to schedule a lesson or contact me with any additional questions.

I have been working with the New Testament Greek text for 16 years as a pastor/teacher, student and seminary instructor.

Excellent Bible teachers maintain a familiarity with the overall message of the Bible. They habitually read and reread God’s Word in its entirety. Convinced the entire Bible is useful, they search for insight and potential fruit in every verse. Worthy Bible teachers see how the parts of the Bible work together and understand the unity of its overarching message, aware that the entire Bible teaches about Jesus Christ (Luke 24:44).

Additionally, excellent Bible teachers master individual books of the Bible and core doctrines of the Christian faith. They know how to dig deep and draw out the overall message of the Bibl

Bible Studies

My training in biblical studies helped enabled me to correctly read, interpret, and apply the Bible. I gained valuable knowledge in areas like the history of the Christian church and the origin and history of life in the universe. My religious education was grounded in a Christian worldview with a commitment to preparing you for a life in ministry leadership. As I pursued this particular study, I learned to understand the relationship between biblical theology and current theological issues. I will teach you to identify basic elements of structure within the biblical text. In addition, you can apply a methodical approach to the study of each of the primary genres of the Old and New Testaments.
Greek

Greek

In my Master of Divinity program, I was permitted to establish a master’s-level proficiency in Greek with additional work in linguistics, hermeneutics, and Aramaic. The learning objectives and outcomes included the ability to read the Bible and related literature in their original languages with an understanding of grammatical, syntactical, semantic, discursive, rhetorical, exegetical and hermeneutical issues. In addition, rather than always lecturing and merely giving us all the right answers, our classes were primarily seminar-style, in which we read texts together and discuss them in community, allowing us all to learn from the diverse perspectives of those in the classroom.
Religion

Religion

In my Master of Divinity program, I was provided with a wide variety of in-depth coursework ranging from the study of apologetics, church ministry, evangelism, and homiletics to thorough reviews of the Old and New Testaments. Offered by my seminary school, Houston Baptist Theological Seminary, my 75-hour Master of Divinity in Biblical Languages degree provided the essential training I needed in hermeneutics, the Greek language, and Hebrew syntax and language tools. My course in hermeneutics provides key training in how to interpret the Word of God and share it with others.
