I specialize in working with students who learn differently — particularly those with IEPs, learning disabilities, or who have struggled with math despite trying hard. With a master's degree and 14 years of experience working in education, including special education math teaching in both the US and UK, I understand that many students don't need more of the same approach. They need someone who gets how they actually process information.

My background spans general education and special education math from elementary through high school level, giving me the range to meet students exactly where they are. I have worked within formal intervention frameworks and understand how to read assessment data to identify where a student's gaps actually are — not just what grade they're in. This means sessions are targeted, not generic.
I hold a master's degree and have taught in New Jersey, New York City, and London school systems, bringing a breadth of experience that informs how I approach every student individually. My goal is always the same: to help a student build genuine understanding and confidence in math, not just get through the next test. My past 3 years have been working in New Orleans developing and managing Intervention programs across a network of 4 schools. From this work I have expanded my experience into Reading and have been trained through the National Institute for Direct Instruction to not only implement Direct Instruction programming but also train other educators to teach the programs as well. I am well versed in meeting the needs of a wide variety of students and look forward to working with your student to build long lasting skills and foundations that will build confidence and open doors to opportunity.
