I’m a certified educator with 8+ years of teaching and tutoring experience supporting students across K–12, with a strong focus in English Language Arts and Social Studies. I hold a teaching certification (Grades 6–12) and a Master’s degree in Education with a specialization in Educational Technology and Instructional Design. My background includes classroom teaching, one-on-one tutoring, small group instruction, online learning, and academic intervention. I also have experience in curriculum development, instructional content creation, and designing lessons that are engaging, standards-aligned, and tailored to individual student needs.
For the past several years, I have worked with students in a variety of learning environments, including traditional classrooms, virtual settings, and individualized tutoring support. I have taught and tutored students from elementary through high school, helping them strengthen foundational skills, improve academic confidence, and meet grade-level expectations. My teaching approach is student-centered and adaptive. I break down complex concepts into manageable steps, use real-world examples to make learning relevant, and adjust instruction based on each student’s learning style, pace, and goals.
In addition to classroom teaching, I served as an Academic Interventionist for two years, where I provided targeted support to help students close learning gaps and build mastery in core subjects. In this role, I worked closely with students who needed additional academic support, including English language learners, struggling readers, and students with mild to moderate learning differences. My intervention approach focused on skill-building, progress monitoring, and personalized strategies that helped students grow with confidence. I am also currently completing my TESOL certification through the University of Arizona, which continues to strengthen my ability to support multilingual learners effectively.
