Brief description: I have worked 35 years as a Teacher of English as a Second Language part of it has been abroad. As such, I have taught to adults in institutes and private classes, as well to children in school and private classes as young as 8 years old, or third grade (occasionally younger ages) and up (all ages). I must emphasize that I have taught to all levels, from basics to advanced, including preparation for international examinations as IELTS, TOEFL, and all the Cambridge examinations (children and adults). In the last years I have only taught online, giving me the opportunity to teach students from many parts of the world.

In relation to my certifications as an English Teacher, I have Cambridge University's TKT (Teaching Knowledge Test, modules 1 to 3} Module 3}, Cambridge English Level 5 Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (CELTA) (QCF). Besides these I am working on obtaining a TESOL certification from Arizona State University. I would like to mention that I am always taking courses to stay up to date with teaching methods or tools.
As a teacher I understand that many students might feel difficult to overcome fears of making mistakes or feeling ridiculous starting to speak a language. But we must remember that that is how we learned to speak our native language. Making mistakes is part of the learning process. Therefore, it does not matter if you are basic or advanced there is always room to improve or even challenge yourself.
