Greetings! I am an energetic and efficient mathematics instructor, with over 25 years of experience as a classroom teacher at Universities, Community Colleges and High Schools throughout the New Orleans Area, and 30 years of experience as a math tutor. Holding both a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Indiana University, my content mastery of all essential topics from middle-school up through undergraduate college courses can help students to maximize their potential mathematical performance.
I am deeply enthusiastic about presenting math as a creative, even joyful endeavor, and not one filled with dread and a "fear of memorization" which is so often encountered. My primary goal is to customize to my instruction to each individual student, focusing on whatever exercises or study-guides they may bring to a session, or by constructing problem-styles in the moment related to whatever textbook or e-book topics they may be currently struggling with.
My ultimate goal is not only to help students to work through any particular current struggles and to prepare for upcoming assessments, but more so to help them to grow and to mature mathematically in a broader sense, and to understand the “why” that unifies all mathematical activity. I can do so, with full confidence and expertise, with students of any age from middle-school up to college, for classwork as well as standardized test preparation.
