Hi everyone! I’m Isabella and I’m exited to connect with individuals to further their educational journey and reach their academic goals.
I graduated from the University of Virginia with a B.S. in biomedical engineering with minors in engineering business and health & well-being. During my undergraduate degree, I gained a range of teaching and tutoring experience. While at UVA, I designed and taught curriculums to resident staff members on training topics, including crisis management, mental health, and reporting. On the academic side, I created and co-taught a introductory biomedical engineering course on the basic tenets of immunology and epidemiology.
After my undergraduate degree, I completed my Master’s in biomedical engineering. During that time, I served as a TA for an first year biomedical engineering course that provided a general overview of popular topics within the field. My core responsibilities also included assisting students with laboratory techniques and lab analysis.
For each student I teach and tutor, I take an individualized approach. Each student responds differently to content and brings a different academic background. I’ve had the opportunity to work with a range of students, starting from middle school through college, across academic subjects.
