Although I have tutored in many subjects, my concentration has been in Mathematics, Chemistry, and English, on both the high school and college levels. Many of my students have gone on to successful careers in Medicine and Education. My tutoring philosophy is simple and three-fold: It is my task to (1) discover the student's learning language, (2)translate course information into that language, and (3) teach the student how to translate new information into his/her own learning language. Because I was born legally blind, I understand what it is to have learning difficulties and have worked with various types with patience and success. As a Christian, I believe that each individual has great value, and I seek to help each to achieve the academic goals that help realize that value.
