I am a primarily self-taught musician, learning through what I jokingly refer to as "Youtube University." I have had many wonderful teachers for various lengths, including time with a guitar teacher, piano teacher, classical opera voice lessons, 6 months with the School of Rock in Oceanside, CA, and 6 months of Logic Pro training through Point Blank music school (online).
I am published musical artist with songs currently available via mainstream music services (see link below). I have been constructing a music studio at my home in central Louisiana, and am currently growing my performing skills through local performances.
I am a "Music Coach" rather than an educator. When I was learning, I realized that almost all the information needed to learn to play was readily available and FREE through the internet and now through AI. The information was there, but what I felt I needed was a mentor that was doing the work, could help me contextualize the information, and provide the encouragement, inspiration, and direction to continue developing as a contemporary style musician.
That's what I hope to provide to students: To inhabit these creative qualities I was looking for in my early development, share as a fellow artist, and provide a safe and open space for the new musician.
