Hello there, I’m Josh! I have a Bachelor of Music Performance, and Master of Music degree from Northwestern State University. At NSU, I served as the Principal Trumpet of the NSU Symphony Orchestra, Principal Trumpet of the Wind Symphony, regularly performed with the NSU Jazz Orchestra, and led the NSU Brass Quintet. As a soloist, I performed with the NSU Symphony Orchestra, the NSU Jazz Orchestra, and I have presented numerous solo recitals.

My teaching philosophy prioritizes a wholistic approach. My goal as an educator is not simply to make my students better at their instrument. My goal is to foster musical growth, artistry, responsibility, and passion in the goals that my students have using their instrument as a tool. In our lessons we will establish a practice routine, explore a variety of musical styles and genres, and learn fundamental music theory and history.
