I am an artist that has over 20 years of art experience in digital art. I am a licensed teacher and graduated with a B.F.A. in both Art Education as well as Digital Media specializing in animation and video editing.
I currently tutor Middle school - adult age students with a range going from beginner to advanced lessons.

I am an artist that has over 20 years of art experience in digital art. I am a licensed teacher and graduated with a B.F.A. in both Art Education as well as Digital Media specializing in animation and video editing.
I currently tutor Middle school - adult age students with a range going from beginner to advanced lessons.
I was a video game artist on the team "Mystic Mask Media LLC" and contributed edited videos, animations, and illustrations on our projects on a daily basis. We published the game "Hyde & Zeke".

My main focus as an artist is with drawing organic beings from nature and fantasy. My expertise lie in drawing mythical creatures as well as humans, plants, and animals. I can teach character design with a range of cartoon styles to more semi realistic styles. This includes Anime, Manga, comics, western cartoons, and whimsical styles.
In regards to digital art, I am quite knowledgeable in Photoshop and have been working with it for over 25 years and many unique skills that enhance the ability to use these programs in computer graphics.

I am also quite experienced with video editing and animation using Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Krita. When I teach, I break down the subject in one simple topic while making sure the student understands the material as clearly as possible. My favorite part with teaching is when the student can utilize what they learned and do their own take on the subject matter.

I have also been streaming on twitch on my shared channel "Glint Gamers" for PC and Console game streaming. I set up the channel's overall design for various stream alerts, animations, and stream template using Streamlabs OBS and The Stream Deck.

Kayla taught me how to use Adobe Character Animator. In the three tutoring sessions I recently had with Kayla, I have learned more than I did by myself viewing YouTube tutorial videos for the past three weeks. Kayla is patient, kind, and extremely knowledgeable in Adobe Character Animator. One of her best traits is that if she doesn't know the answer during your tutorial session, she will find the answer and show it to you later, which I feel goes above and beyond and is awesome. I highly recommend Kayla D. as a tutor and will most likely book her as a tutor in the future. Plus, Kayla is really funny and has a great laugh!
