I have been in the education field for 25 years with teaching certifications in Texas, Tennessee, and Louisiana for both math and special education. For the past ten years, I have worked in New Orleans, coaching teachers (2nd-grade through high school), teaching math in special day schools for students with severe behavioral disorders (2nd - 8th grade), and I am currently coordinating a behavior intervention program to keep high schoolers in school while addressing their choices and increasing their academic progress.
I love math and enjoy building students' confidence in their math skills. Making sense of numbers and looking at how math plays such an important role in our daily lives is my life's purpose--whether balancing a budget, buying a vehicle, or doubling recipes for cooking.
