I bring 22 years of teaching experience and have worked with students across both elementary and middle school grade levels. Throughout my career, I've taught English Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, and 5th-grade elementary curriculum, and I also hold a Special Education certification. These experiences have helped me develop the skills to meet students where they are and provide personalized support that builds both confidence and academic success.
My teaching approach is centered on creating a positive, encouraging, and engaging learning environment. I believe every student learns differently, so I take the time to understand each learner's strengths, challenges, and goals. Whether we're working on reading comprehension, writing skills, grammar, study strategies, science concepts, or social studies content, I break complex ideas into manageable steps and provide clear guidance along the way. I can help students strengthen their English Language Arts skills, including reading, writing, vocabulary, and test preparation. I can also support students in Science and Social Studies, as well as learners who benefit from individualized instruction and specialized learning strategies. My goal is not only to help students improve academically but also to help them become confident, independent learners who believe in their abilities. Together, we'll set achievable goals, celebrate progress, and build the skills needed for long-term success.
