Greetings, I am an experienced K-12th educator with two decades of teaching experience. Five years as a homeschooler and seven years as a Professional tutor. I am from Louisiana, and attended Grambling State University with a major in Secondary English Education. I'm a member of the National Tutoring Association and have CPD Certifications in areas such as Dyslexia and ADHA, and Autism Awareness.
I specialize in working with elementary K-5th grade students in Math, Reading, Phonics, and ELA, and Homework. Being I have always been in the middle and high school classrooms. I never gave elementary a chance until I started homeschooling. Watching those students thinkers, develop sounds, create words and build sentences, is what drew me to stay with this group of students.
My adjective is simple; build a solid foundation for students that last a lifetime. Every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to meet each student’s individual needs and pace. My sessions focus on clear explanations, guided practice, and helping students truly understand concepts rather than simply memorizing answers. I also support students with organization, study skills, and homework assistance.
My goal is to create a positive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing strong academic foundations.
