I began teaching at ULL as a graduate assistant in the area of Speech/Communication/Journalism. After earning a Master of Science in Communication, I was hired by a local computer software company to write and publish their operator manual. After completing the manual, I was hired on as a help desk technician for the application, which was a medical practice management and patient/insurance billing system. I then moved up to training for the company, which took me to many different cities in the U.S., including San Francisco, Portland, Dallas, Tampa, New York City, Chicago, Boston and Miami to train administrative staff on using the program. I have been teaching and training in just about every computer job that I've had since then. I worked over 13 years as a computer support specialist for the U.S. District Court for Western Louisiana. After retiring from IT, I began teaching Human Communication and Public Speaking for South Louisiana Community College at the New Iberia and St. Martinville campuses. Whether you're someone that needs to brush up on their social interaction skills at work and at home; or need specialized public speaking training for school or your profession, I can help you achieve the calmness and confidence that all outstanding speakers possess.
