Currently, I am a Ph.D. student and instructor-on-record at the University of New Orleans. I have extensive education in both research methodology and psychological theory. My approach to teaching/tutoring involves the use of elaborative rehearsal to assist in encoding information, for example: discussion of real-life applications of theory, using theory in a "problem-solving" manner to address real world psychological questions such as administering therapy or formulating research hypotheses, and utilizing techniques like rote memorization or alternative rehearsal techniques (i.e. neuroscience coloring pages for brain anatomy) for dense or intensive subjects within psychology and neuroscience.
