Hi, I’m Ainsley! I am currently studying English Literature at SLU with a minor in Spanish. I have always had a love for languages, and I hope to help others share this love, if possible! I graduated high school with a 4.3 GPA, and my current GPA is 3.8. I received a 34 on the English portion of the ACT, and I have only ever received A’s in all of my English and Spanish courses. I really want to make sure students feel comfortable in both of these subjects which I love. I have a passion for both learning and teaching, and I hope to one day be a University professor of English Literature.
While I don't yet have any professional tutoring experience, I often help my friends and other classmates with topics they may be struggling with in my college classes. Also, as an oldest child, I grew up helping my younger siblings in their English and Spanish classes, and I have even been able to help my sister receive a 34 on the English section of the ACT! I am have taken a few education courses during the last year, and I have gotten to know my own personal teaching style through creating mini-lesson plans on different English topics. I want to create and safe learning environment for students in which they feel inspired to keep learning, and I hope to develop their self-confidence in order for them to succeed.
