I am a certified Special Education Teacher with over 10 years of experience working with elementary and middle school students in both one-on-one and small-group settings. I hold Louisiana certification in Mild/Moderate Special Education and Elementary Education (grades 1–5), and I am currently completing my Educational Diagnostician certification. I have served as a Lead Special Education Teacher, Hospital/Homebound Teacher, and classroom teacher, giving me a strong understanding of how to meet individual learning needs across different environments.
My tutoring focus includes reading intervention, comprehension, writing support, and building foundational academic skills. I specialize in working with students who have IEPs, learning disabilities, attention challenges, or who need additional structure and encouragement to succeed. My approach is patient, supportive, and data-driven. I use clear explanations, targeted practice, and ongoing progress monitoring to help students make meaningful gains while building confidence and independence.
When working with families, I believe communication and consistency are key. I partner with parents to understand each child’s strengths and goals, and I tailor instruction to support progress both during tutoring sessions and in the classroom. My goal as a tutor is to help students feel capable, motivated, and proud of their growth while providing families with peace of mind that their child is receiving high-quality, individualized support.
