I hold an Associate's Degree in General Studies with a concentration in Business/Computer Science from River Parishes Community College, where I earned a GPA of 3.9 and was recognized on the Dean's (Callender's) List. I am currently enrolled at the University of Phoenix, pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, with a current GPA of 3.2.
For two years, I worked as a reading specialist and English Language Arts tutor for an online tutoring company based in California, serving students in grades K–12. I’ve worked in both group settings and one-on-one environments, helping learners of all abilities—including students with learning differences—gain confidence and skill in reading and writing. My teaching approach emphasizes breaking reading down into manageable parts: starting with letters and their sounds, then blending those sounds to form words (e.g., C + A + T = cat). From there, I help students build fluency with sight words and short sentences until they are confidently reading longer texts.
