Dedicated mathematics educator with over 19 years of classroom experience and a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Mathematics. I began my teaching career in 2002 with the Washington Parish School System, where I taught 8th-grade mathematics for four years while also serving as a dance team sponsor. I then joined the St. Tammany Parish School System, spending 15 years at Fontainebleau Junior High School teaching Honors Pre-Algebra. Throughout my career, I was passionate about helping students build confidence in mathematics, develop strong problem-solving skills, and achieve academic success.
My teaching style focused on creating a positive and engaging learning environment where students felt supported and challenged. I enjoyed building meaningful relationships with students and families while using a variety of instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs. My years in the classroom strengthened my communication, organization, technology, and leadership skills, all of which continue to serve me well in educational settings.
As a wife and mother of two sons, I understand the importance of balancing academic achievement with the demands of family life. While I stepped away from the classroom to focus on family and other professional endeavors, my passion for education has never faded. I am excited about opportunities to return to teaching, tutoring, or supporting students in an online learning environment where I can continue making a positive impact on learners’ lives.
