I was a graduate student of Mathematics at the University of Louisiana until winter 2023, when I graduated with a Master's degree (3.7 GPA). Courses I took over the course of graduate studies include: Linear Algebra, Abstract Algebra (with a focus on Lie Groups), Real and Complex Analysis, Topology and Partial Differential Equations. My research was focused on computational methods for solving specific partial differential equations using the Python coding language. During this time, I was also responsible for creating lesson plans, homework and exams for students in the undergraduate classes I taught. Courses I taught include Algebra 1 and 2, Pre-Calculus, and Trigonometry.

Additionally, I have been tutoring students one-on-one in Math, Science, Computer Science and English for about 7 years now. These students have ranged in age from middle school to undergraduate level and come from a variety of backgrounds and skill levels, including students with learning disabilities. I tend to have a more relaxed approach to tutoring, as I find this helps students particularly in math and science. Many students, in my experience, are quite nervous and uncomfortable with math in general (even some of the more advanced students). To this end, I try to provide as much positive feedback as possible. Math isn't just about getting the correct answer; in my view it is just as much about the thought process behind the solution. I like to walk my students through my thought process when dealing with problems, and always encourage them to walk me through theirs. I find with this approach that many students gain more confidence in their ability to work through new problems, and for many they see that they maybe weren't as behind as they initially thought.

I like to individualize my tutoring to the student, and welcome any resources they or their parents can provide. Whether your student is behind the curve, looking for homework help or even just looking to get ahead, I look forward to helping them on that journey!

Discrete Math

Discreet Math is a subject I am very familiar with. My undergraduate was in Math with a minor in computer science (two fields where this subject is quite important). I have tutored students in this subject previously, both independently and as an official tutor through my University
